A Summer of Solidarity! 🤩

Dear friend,
Summer has come to an end, leaving behind months that were especially tough for those living in the camp, exposed to extreme temperatures day and night. At our community centre, Paréa, we did everything we could to ease the heat: we added more shaded areas to our spaces and increased the frequency of our bus service. Despite the challenges, there were also moments of joy we shared together. We organized several activities that were a great success, and we’re happy to share some of our favourites with you here.
OCAS orchestra dazzled Paréa!

We were thrilled to welcome OCAS – Orquesta de Cámara Solidaria – to our space. Founded in Siero, Spain, this orchestra of young and professional musicians believes classical music belongs beyond concert halls. Through their project Vínculos, they bring live music to rural villages, schools, and marginalized communities—sharing concerts, workshops, and collaborations that build cultural bridges. In this video, one of our young visitors proudly takes the baton, conducting the orchestra with joy and confidence. A small moment with a big meaning.

Paréa Got Talent – Passion & Connection
This year’s Paréa’s Got Talent was a joyful day filled with fun, laughter, and community spirit. We kicked off with a playful water challenge (video) before moving to the main event: the Talent Contest! The stage shone with traditional dances, hip hop, Cretan steps, and music that brought everyone together. Every act was celebrated, and all performers received medals to honour their participation. With creativity, music, and connection, it was a truly memorable day.
