No, we are not celebrating the results of the last elections either. In fact, we are deeply concerned about the results and their impact on EU migration policies, including the new Migration and Asylum Pact. This policy enforces stricter borders, outsources migration control, and speeds up deportations and detentions, making our mission more critical than ever.
As awareness of the migrant crises on Lesvos and the Aegean islands fades, international support has declined, making it increasingly challenging for Europe Cares to sustain essential services.
